Much speculation has been given to a series of enigmatic relief carvings at the egyptian temple of Denderah. The carvings, from the Hathor Temple of the late Ptolomaic period (circa 300BCE), purportedly show an egyptian ‘lightbulb’ on an insulated stand.
It is not my intent to discuss these carvings or hypothetical artifacts here, but to offer my services to those who would ponder these mysteries.
I was contacted by the History channel in 2011, and made a lamp for them.
The resulting bulb, and the one fabricated for Erich von Daniken by unknown glassblowers, are the only two ‘reproductions’ in existence.
Bulbs and kits are available, starting at around $400, plus shipping.
Please inquire for details.
